Salary: $28.85 – $29.81 per hour

Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt, 40 hours weekly
Location: 236 Main Street Poughkeepsie, NY 12601
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm
Function:
The Project Coordinator for Universal Response to Domestic Violence (URDV), oversees the coordinated community response to domestic violence in Dutchess County. Operating under the under the direction of the Steering Committee for Universal Response to Domestic Violence and the Executive Board of Statewide Targeted Reductions in Intimate Partner Violence (STRIVE), the Coordinator convenes and engages stakeholders to ensure a unified, survivor-centered approach. The Coordinator drives continuous improvement through ongoing assessment of system and community needs, resource capacity and stakeholder readiness.
Position Requirements:
- Master's degree in social work, criminal justice, public policy, human services or related field preferred, but minimum of 5 years of relevant experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in administration and supervision is required.
- Candidate must possess experience with multi-agency collaboration, grants management, and report writing.
- Candidate should have understanding of domestic violence, criminal and civil justice systems and trauma informed care.

Position Responsibilities:
Lead and Sustain a Coordinated Community Response to Domestic Violence:
- Oversee the overall coordinated community response to domestic violence in Dutchess County by carrying out the work of the URDV Steering Committee, which consists of representatives from the following agencies: DC District Attorney’s Office, DC Office of Probation and Community Corrections, DC Family Court, DC Department of Community and Family Services, DC Department of Health, DC Department of Mental Health, DC Sheriff’s Office, City of Poughkeepsie Police Department, City of Beacon Police Department, Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department, Town of Hyde Park Police Department, Family Services, Grace Smith House, Legal Services of the Hudson Valley, and the New York State Police.
- Convene STRIVE specific stakeholders including the Executive Board comprised of the District Attorney’s Office, City of Poughkeepsie Police Department, and Family Services Center for Victim Safety and Support, as well as other project partners in order to carry out work specific to reduction of intimate partner violence in Poughkeepsie
- Responsible for scheduling and facilitating URDV Steering Committee and STRIVE Executive Board meetings as well as writing and distributing meeting minutes in a timely manner.
- Oversee the development and ongoing refinement of a comprehensive framework to map resources, identify service gaps, and align stakeholder roles using tools like the Sequential Intercept Model (SIM).
Work with Stakeholders to Implement Evidence-Based Strategies:
- Oversee multi-disciplinary teams in the county including the Domestic Abuse Response Teams (DART) in the City and Town of Poughkeepsie, City of Beacon and Town of Hyde Park, and all law enforcement departments participating in the Lethality Assessment Program (LAP).
- Provide a leadership role within the High-Risk Case Management (HRCM) Project and the Domestic Violence Offender Project (DVOP).
- Ensure strategies are tailored to the community’s needs and remain trauma-informed and culturally responsive
- Monitor best practices and evidenced based interventions in the field of domestic violence and keep multidisciplinary partners informed.
Drive Continuous Improvement:
- Facilitate ongoing assessment of system and community needs, resource capacity, and stakeholder readiness.
- Identify gaps in the system and develop mechanisms for filling the gaps by convening the relevant players and working to devise a solution.
- Serve as a troubleshooter when agencies are faced with barriers in the system.
- Attend case-conferencing meetings and assist in troubleshooting difficult cases.
Foster Collaboration and Communication:
- Serve as the liaison between STRIVE stakeholders and the Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS).
- Lead regular CCR and STRIVE Executive Board meetings, maintaining alignment and accountability across agencies.
- Actively participate, and provide a leadership role when appropriate, in local committees and coalitions including but not limited to: Coalition Against Sexual and Domestic Abuse in Dutchess County (and several subcommittees), and the Domestic Violence Regional Council organized by NYS Office for the Prevention of Domestic Violence (OPDV)
- Attend staff meetings of the Domestic Violence Service agencies (as appropriate) and work in strong collaboration to achieve coordinated community response outcomes.
- In conjunction with the appointed member of the Dutchess County Legislature, provide a leadership role as the Chair of the Citizens Advisory Committee on Domestic Violence (a committee of the DC Legislature). As Chair, the Coordinator convenes meetings, prepares and distributes meeting minutes, and assists the legislature with recruitment and approval of committee members.
Support Training and Capacity Building:
- Identify and address training needs for CCR stakeholders, promoting professional development in evidence-based practices.
- Coordinate technical assistance and ensure alignment with STRIVE objectives.
- Provide trainings to various groups including Law Enforcement, DV Service Providers, Steering Committee members, and others regarding projects overseen by URDV including, but not limited to, LAP, HRCM, and DVOP.
- Participate in policy analysis, public speaking, and community organizing.
- Research and seek new sources of funding to support a coordinated community response to domestic violence from the federal, state and private sources.
Monitor and Report Progress:
- Oversee the implementation of protocols for intake, referrals, and case management.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of documentation, including meeting minutes, quarterly Implementation Assessment Tool (IAT) reports, and program evaluations.
- Maintain statistics and prepare reports as needed; this will be in collaboration with the Center for Victim Safety and Support as the victim services program staffs the DART, LAP and High Risk projects.
- Monitor project effectiveness and explore possibilities for project expansion as appropriate.
- Maintain active communication and attend regular meetings with supervisor.

Work Environment – This position is housed in the District Attorney’s Office in Poughkeepsie. Regular local travel is required. Candidate must be able to get to and from various work locations throughout the day, including community partner offices and other meeting locations.
